Mother’s Day is a beautiful holiday, however, year after year it pains many. For some, they miss their own mother that is no longer here and for thousands of other women, they long to one day be celebrated on this day. I created this gift guide for those who want to recognize hopeful mamas.
Why a gift guide for a hopeful mom?
If you know someone who is trying to have a baby and possibly going through fertility treatments it is beyond nice to acknowledge them on Mother’s Day as a hopeful mama!
I have created a list of possible gifts (that are really appropriate for any time of year) that some people sent to me while I was trying to conceive (TTC). I have also included other gifts that I know are much appreciated for varying reasons throughout the journey.

Gratitude Journal
A good friend of mine sent me this exact journal when I needed it most. Starting the day off with three things to be grateful for helped get through some darker times when you feel like you don’t have much to be grateful for.
Liquid IV
Hydration is KEY when going through fertility treatments and also just important in keeping our bodies healthy when trying to conceive. Liquid IV is a really delicious hydration supplement anyone would enjoy as a gift!
St. Gerard Charm and Prayer Card
St. Gerard is the patron saint of expectant mothers – a fun fact I never knew until my friend sent me this exact gift during my TTC journey. I still carry this in my purse as I am pregnant with my second IVF baby. There is a beautiful prayer for conception as well as another prayer to say during pregnancy.
100 Days to Brave
While we are on the spirituality topic, this daily devotional can help people face difficult times and fears with confidence and courage. I read this daily for 100 days during my first pregnancy and it was incredible! Such a great gift option for hopeful mamas facing tough times.
Cozy Socks
Who doesn’t love a pair of cozy socks to chill around the house in? Some days on the TTC road, you just want to wear the comfiest things you own and binge watch Netflix. It can be some of the best medicine! And after painful tests and treatments there’s also nothing better.
Comfy Leggings
On the note of being cozy, a solid pair of black leggings are always appreciated. This is my most expensive recommendation as I LOVE the Lululemon align leggings. I think they are the softest and provide just the perfect amount of “hug” to be totally relaxed. They are great for laying on the couch, but also are perfect for going out and about. I will also mention that for a hopeful pregnancy, they hold up extremely well and do not get permanently stretched by a growing belly like some others.
Cozy Blanket
Having “my blanket” that is super soft and cuddly I can call my own to snuggle up with on the couch is the best. For those Netflix binge days everyone needs one!
Water Bottle
I mentioned earlier the importance of hydration. This water bottle is not only beautiful, but it holds all of the water you need for the day with hourly reminders to stay on track! What I also love is the straw because we know it’s so much easier to get in your ounces that way.
Daily Affirmation Cards
I really love this gift for anyone at any time, but these cards are fun to pull at the start of the day to help set a positive intention. This set is business card sized, so perfect to keep on a bedside table or dresser as a reminder to get to first thing in the morning and start your day off with inspiration.
Lip Balm
This one may feel random, but who doesn’t love a little lip balm for their purse? A cute little gift idea that can keep their lips feeling good throughout. The EOS sweet mint is my personal fave!
As Mother’s Day rolls around, or when you have a friend going through a difficult TTC struggle, these are all sweet gestures most of which are right around $10. I can honestly say, I remember when I got these gifts in the mail from friends unexpectedly and it made all of the difference for me.
A little something can help lighten up someone’s Mother’s Day.
